| Are you kidding me? How can this horse just keep getting more and more beautiful?! Just look at that mane and tail! Are they for real?! I can't believe it myself sometimes. I can't believe I actually own this giant beautiful horse and the horse actually LIKES me! Cinders is fours old now, but she is a "silly filly" compared to Indigo who is an 'old soul'. Cinders is joyful. She jumps up in the air, bucks ten miles high and snorts and races about. She is breath taking to watch. She scares me sometimes with all her fire-breathing energy! She really needs alot of miles of riding. I do the best I can and we're getting better every day. On blazing hot days, she will eat ice cubes from my hand all day long. I give her lots of baths since that's alot of body to get over heated....I think she must be 17 hands by now....... | |

When I tell you Cinders is nick-named "Leviathan", here's some pictures that show why! She can buck like the best when she wants to! I usually lounge her for a little while before attempting to ride...she has a lot of energy! You'll see her braids are coming out here...I generally loosen them up for several days before I plan to bathe her and let them fall out on their own. It's alot of work braiding and unbraiding all that mane!

| Cinders is like a diamond necklace to me. I just can't get over how beautiful she is. She IS a huge amount of work though, that's for sure. Than goodness she just stands there and lets me fuss over her all I want. Her mane and tail are always kept in braids. I can't let them down even when riding her or she'll step on her tail and all that long mane blows in my face and tangles around the reins. It's hard to ride a horse that is "feisty" like her and have all that mane in your way! But it sure makes a wonderful picture, and it's quite calming to spend the time I do with her, just grooming her. She looks like something from a fairy tail. There are times when I can't believe I actually OWN this beautiful horse, let alone the thought she was destined for slaughter...... | |

| I've been trying to get out there and ride Cinders a little more lately. She LOVES any kind of interaction, so she tries to be as good as possible so she'll get more hugs. It is SO hard keeping a saddle on her back. I now have TWO girth extenders on the girth of that saddle and I still can't get it to stop sliding sideways. I don't feel very safe way up on that huge horse with that saddle always slipping around! I'm always so amused at how patient she is with me fooling around with the saddle up there on her back when she's only 5 years old and really pretty green. But she puts up with it and will stand patiently while I "get it together". What a good girl. And yes, those braids do get in the way of the reins! But it's better then trying to deal with all that long loose mane. I don't know how those Friesian folks can do it! | |
